Kue Cubit is a popular Indonesian snack that’s often found at street stalls and markets. These small, bite-sized pancakes are made from a simple batter of flour, sugar, eggs, and milk, and they are cooked in a special mold that gives them their distinctive round shape. Kue Cubit means “pinch cake” in Indonesian, a name derived from the way these treats are often picked up—by pinching them between your fingers.

Kue Cubit is typically cooked until the edges are firm, but the center remains soft and gooey, similar to a molten cake. They are usually topped with a variety of sweet toppings like chocolate sprinkles, grated cheese, or even Oreo crumbs, making them a fun and customizable treat.
